Background to Seminars

Household debt in Canada, indeed, in the USA and England too, continues to spiral out of control. The average household spends more than it earns. Christians are caught in this spending spree like others in society. The answer is not Government intervention, not lower interest rates from finance companies or others, but part of the answer lies with each of us: for each person to accept his and her responsibility, learn to be patient, to be humble, to live on what he or she earns, to save to buy stuff, and to stop chasing unaffordable standards of living. As well, the church family (body of believers, not the institutional church) needs to start loving each other as Jesus commanded and start responding to genuine crises in the lives of fellow believers. We need to invest time getting to know Jesus. He will help us live lives that glorify Him. He will help us understand that challenges we face do not surprize Him. He will help us respond as Job did (Job 1:20-22, Job 13:15, Job 42:5). He will help us live "upside down" (Romans 12:2) in this world where the focus is on "me" and "my circumstances."

Each follower of Christ needs to "believe with his pocket book" Jesus owns everything and has promised to take care of his or her needs. The debt issue is bad, just as bad as Governments faced in the 90's. But there is hope in Jesus (Mark 9:23). Nobody's circumstance is too big for Jesus. Let's start today to believe Jesus and be ready to accept our circumstance, especially the effects of poor judgement. Jesus might not remove your financial debt in your timeframe, but to be sure He will remove the financial burden today. Ask Him (Matthew 6:9-13, Matthew 11:28, 1 John 1:9)!

Since 2000, regularly we offered Managing God's Money seminars and workshops in Canada and internationally. And from October 2001 to June 2006, we partnered with Focus on the Family Canada to present specific Managing God’s Money and Managing God's Time seminars throughout Canada. With the release of the seminar DVD, CD and most recently the compatible Managing God's Money 7 Branches Workbook, we have reduced regularly scheduled seminar presentations. We encourage small groups to use the DVD or CD and the 7 Branches Workbook. Still, as the Lord leads, we are happy to present a custom seminar or one of the seminars below at your church or elsewhere.

We charge no fees but we require commitment from the leadership. Please contact us at michelbell@managinggodsmoney.com

Getting a Grip on Time and Money Seminar

This seminar highlights what it means to "grip" time and money? Why do we have difficulty managing priorities? With money matters? We will show how to work joyfully and effectively with "positve stress" in available time.

As well, we will show how to build on what we have, and how to plug leaks in our finances. In essence, we will look at "gripping" time and money for His glory: how to get the "grip", how to keep the "grip". Each person should leave each session hopeful and with a new outlook and an easy to use tool kit.

Seminars start at 9:00 AM and end at 4:30 PM. Top

Managing God's Time: Personal Effectiveness Improvement Seminars

WinePress Publishing Inc. of Washington State released Michel's third book Managing God's Time in August 2004. The book arose out of this three-hour seminar he has been presenting since 2001. Geared towards "busy" individuals, the primary purpose of the book and seminar is to glorify Jesus Christ and further His Kingdom by focusing on His priorities. Built on a vibrant relationship with Jesus, the book and seminar propose a biblical view of success to help you select right priorities.

Have you been striving to please man? Succeed in Life? Manage your time and get your priorities straight? This seminar will help you enjoy the freedom that comes from doing only what God wants done in His timing. You'll learn the P-Squares Decision Process, Attitude Sack and Medic Kit that provide the framework, tools and techniques for a renewed attitude. You'll enjoy work, create time for your family, and benefit from My-Time. The proposed biblical view of success will free you to become the person God wants you to be. Gone will be debilitating and negative thoughts from phrases such as I have no time and I can't do this! You'll discover God grants you time and ability to do everything He calls you to do and that everything is possible through Christ who gives you strength.

Experience God's grace, mercy, and peace; start tending to the important matters in life rather than reacting to the urgent-all for His glory! Just believe!
